This week our school mascots volunteered to help us with meal distribution in celebration of National School Lunch Week. Play the video below to “catch” a little bit of action. #onecaroline #nslw2020 #nslw20
October 12-16, 2020 is National School Lunch Week. President John F. Kennedy created National School Lunch Week (NSLW) in 1962 to promote the importance of a healthy school lunch in a child’s life and the impact it has inside and outside of the classroom. The COVID-19 pandemic has without a doubt shown just how incredibly important school meals are for students and their families.
Bowling Green Elementary students and staff participated in The Crunch Heard ‘Round the Commonwealth yesterday. We even had a neighborhood horse join in!
Virginia #FarmtoSchool Week is October 5-9 and everyone can celebrate! Get started by pledging to take one small step to support healthy kids, thriving farms and vibrant communities. Virtual learners and families, show us how you bite into #VirginiaGrown apples to celebrate local growers and #FarmtoSchool during the Crunch Heard ‘Round the Commonwealth on October 7! #VACrunch
